Nathaniel Gaskell

Co-founder and Associate Director, Museum of Art & Photography, Bangalore

Nathaniel Gaskell (b. London, 1986) is the co-founder and associate director of the Museum of Art & Photography, Bangalore, and the former director of the Tasveer Gallery. He received his BA in Fine Art from the Arts University College, Bournemouth (2008) and an MA in Cultural Studies from the London Consortium (2009). He is the author of various books on the history of photography in India, including the landmark, ‘Photography in India: A Visual History from 1850s to the Present’ (Prestel), as well as ‘William Dalrymple: The Historian’s Eye’ (HarperCollins), ‘Derry Moore: In the Shadow of the Raj’ (Prestel), ‘Karan Kapoor: Time & Tide’ (Tasveer). He lives between Bangalore and Singapore.
