The global award in photography and sustainability

Power is the fifth book published by teNeues for the Prix Pictet.

Power is the theme of the fourth cycle of the Prix Pictet. The book showcases the 12 shortlisted artists alongside outstanding photographs by nominees which best respond to the theme. It will include a foreword by Kofi Annan, Honorary President of the Prix Pictet, together with essays by two leading commentators, Harry Eyres and Phil Thornton.

Harry Eyres is a journalist who established the ‘Slow Lane’ column at the Financial Times, after a varied journalistic career. Eyres also is a published poet, teacher and editor of LSE Environment, the newsletter for the school’s Centre for Environmental Policy and Governance.

Phil Thornton is lead consultant at Clarity Economics, a consultancy and report writing service he set up after a 15-year career as a newspaper journalist, primarily at The Independent of London. Clarity Economics looks at all areas of business and finance, and in 2010 Thornton won the Feature Journalist of the Year award in the WorkWorld Media Awards.
